Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher related to Charles “the Crook” Keating. Oops.
October 15th, 2008 . by MartyJohn McCain did great tonight in the debate. But every time John mentioned “Joe the Plumber,” some of us in the campaign banged our heads against the wall. If Steve Schmidt had any hair left, I hear he would have been pulling it out tonight. He reportedly screamed at John’s debate prep team tonight (out of earshot of reporters, of course). “You idiots - he’s related to Charles Keating… of the Keating Five scandal!” They thought they had a real live Joe Six-Pack who’s spurned Barack Obama’s tax plan. But what they forgot to do was check on Joe Wurzelbacher’s background.
Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
Does any of this make Joe the Plumber a bad guy? Of course not. In fact, after that ill-fated night at the Watergate, he may finally be giving plumbers a good name. But at a debate where John goes full bore on Obama for guilt-by-association with William Ayers (and dodges a bullet by Obama not mentioning Keating Five), the press is going to bring it back front and center by midday tomorrow once they delve deeper into the most popular plumber in America.
This might remind you of the Paris Hilton scandal - where one side of the McCain campaign attacked her in an ad, not realizing that her family were huge donors. I was the first to warn the campaign of the perils of miscommunication within the campaign, and that story flared for a week.
UPDATE: Sure enough, a few hours after posting this, the left wing haters at DailyKos posted (or shall I say copied?) their own revelations about Joe’s connections to Keating. Like I said to the campaign: Oops.
UPDATE AGAIN: This story certainly got traction, and I’ve had media requests all afternoon. It’s nice to see that Michelle Malkin linked to me even as she contends that the lefties have all sorts of weird conspiracies about poor old Joe. But even Michelle misses the point a little: it doesn’t really matter how Joe is related to Keating. What matters is that here we are talking about it when we should be talking about Obama and Ayers. The campaign really should have done a better job vetting the man they planned to reference 22 times in the last and final debate.

What makes you think that they’re closely related? There are apparently tons of Wurzelbachers in the Cincinnati area.

This will be a scandal, if it’s true. But Robert537 is right, all depends on the relation between Joe and Robert Wurzelbacher. You wrote “close relative”, so I understand you’re not only hinting at the same family name, but have more detailed information. Ok, then, who is Joe? The son of fraudster Bob???
Actually, I think the best way to counter this latest McCain BS is to put it back in context.
Here’s the video of Joe and Barak talking…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFC9jv9jfoA
Let’s spread that around and let people decide for themselves.
Hmm, on second thought, you may not be the best source to confirm anything…
http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2008/06/abrad2345-releases-latest-video-as-hoax.html
While there are Joe Wurzelbachers in Cincinatti, there is no trace of a Joe Wurzelbacher in Holland or Toledo, where he said he was from. The guy’s interview shows that he is not an undecided voter, but he is for McCain and clearly was when he provoked a conversation with Obama. Not that he doesn’t have a right to.
But also, there is a Joe W. in Cincinatti that has a septic tank company registered in his name. And if it is already registered in his name then how is he looking to buy?
I think this guy was a sham and did this on purpose.
There are not a ton of Wurzelbachers, in the entire country there are only 174 according to Census data. That is fewer than people with my last name which is an incredibly rare indian name. Given how few there are, and the fact that a group of them are clustered in the same area in Ohio, I think it isn’t a bad guess that group is related.
Doesn’t it seem kind of fishy with this Joe guy. Palin always talking about Joe Six pack and then happen to find one and Fox happens to be there to record it. I am thinking that when the McCain campaign heard that Obama was in the neighborhood, they hit up their local office to see if anyone can lob a question at him inconjuction with Fox.

If this story gets the media’s attention it’s going to drag the Keating 5 issue before voters, most of whom don’t know what that is or McCain’s involvement.

NOT SO FAST
There are a lot of Robert M. Wurzelbachers, living in at least three states. You’re going out on a big limb by assuming that the GOP donor in Cincinnati is the father of the Keating 5 son-in-law and that either is closely related to Joe the Plumber.
This Joe did not seem real to me, even when he was mentioned in the debate.
What guy who worked his way up to $250k would not understand the benefits of tax cuts for people who are where he was just recently? What about his employees and customers? Won’t tax cuts for them benefit him?
The increase in his portion over $250k would be 3%. He’s whining about 3%. This guy is not real. Meanwhile his employees will do better on what he pays them because they will pay less. It all comes around, and any businessman would know that. Hell, even I know it and I’m not a businessman.

Hannity?
Not in the mood for jokes when the talking heads are attempting to doom our nation as a whole.
The ignorance is dubious now as they have true facts and choose to ignore them.
These people are delusional and worse. They are definitely a danger in influencing people.
If it is still ignorance for some, it’s said to be bliss and it’s more dangerous than many of “US” can bear to think about.
If not ignorance, that only leaves some bad words like stupid, racists and evil greedy rich or any combination there of.
Or maybe worse in not paying attention and researching for one’s self. Taking the word of one who’s as out of touch as McCain is plain lazy.
Thank God there are more good guys than bad in media surfacing for “US” and speaking out!
Google Roseanne’s World and see what Ms. Barr thinks of Joe the plumber. I wouldn’t have used such harsh words but do agree with her basically and think middle America will too. I believe Joe’s a plant trying to taint Obama but that plant will surly wilt.
Hmmm. I meant to say “will surely wilt” I guess that was a true Freudian slip, huh?
Come to think of it Joe’s more like a weed trying to choke off what could blossom into just what we need to recover and in time to save our whole planet.
Sob for America people if the good guys lose. Hold these media whore accountable.
Sorry for the anger and as always>>>

The said he’d been registered with the Natural Law Party, he said he didn’t remember…
Weird how much of this MSNBC broadcast.
Joe the Plumber’s legal first name is not Joseph. You guys are barking up the wrong tree. It’s in the Toledo Blade.
Joe the Plumber’s plumbing license EXPIRED in 2002.
Hard to BE a plumber with an EXPIRED LICENSE!
Go to the below link & type in Joe’s last name “Wurzelbacher” & find out how many Wurzelbacher’s WERE and ARE licensed as a plumber in Ohio …
http://elicense1-lookup.com.ohio.gov/SearchCriteria.asp
You’ll need to type in:
Board: Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board
Last Name: Wurzelbacher
State: Ohio
Results: the ONLY Wurzelbacher is Lawrence NOT JOE (must be Joe’s first name) and Wurzelbacher’s license EXPIRED in 2002.
So Joe isn’t registered to vote AND Joe is NOT a licensed plumber.
PS: According to the Ohio Website:
You must hold a state license do Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, or Hydronics to work in Ohio. General construction contractors may need to be licensed at the local level. Check with the city or county for licensing information and requirements.
To find out if a tradesman holds a license in Ohio, click on http://www.com.state.oh.us/dic.
License Renewal
Licenses are renewed each year.
It will cost $60 to renew and you must show proof of insurance ($500,000 liability minimum) and have completed continued education requirements. Continued education requirements:
Plumbing, Hydronics, HVAC, Refridgeration - 10 hours total per year
Electrical - 10 hours total. 5 of the 10 must be in code.
If you are a multiple license holder, you are still only required to complete 10 hours for CE total.
Well folks, as I fell off my chair when McCain brought up “Joe the Plumber”, I had stark visualizations of the undecided who were in the crowd with a finger in their nose digging for the elusive bugger, and saying “Yup, whatever he said makes sense to me” “Exactly what did he say Clem”
“I not sure, but lets head down the street and grab a brew”.
McCain thinks that he has now touched base with “middle class” Americans, but you can bet your butt, he wouldn’t even give him the time of day if he couldn’t use him to meet his own ends.
Of course he was a plant…
How else would the media have known to be filming him watching the debate..he said he did not know he was going to be mentioned.
The games of the Republicans are demeaning to democracy.
It doesn’t look like Joe the plumber bothered to register to vote, so he might not be voting for McCain.
but he was only 8 years old during Watergate!

Dude, seriously, I have to tip my hat to you. McCain wishes he had your comeback skills.
Something’s fishy about this whole Joe the Plumber story.
Let’s do the simple math.
Best case he makes about $50/h doing plumbing jobs in Cincinatti area. With 10h/day he makes $500 a day. So, it’d make $120K per year.
He said in his interview (http://familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.1465/pub_detail.asp) that he has a “2 men shop”. So, it’d be $240K a year. Just cash flow without deducting all the expenses for equipment, transportation, etc. So, given all these ideal circumstances, he still wouldn’t reach $250K Obama’s tax threshold.
He also said that he wants to buy a business, but when asked if he’s gonna employ other people he said he wouldn’t for some time. So, if that’s so, he’d be set back for purchase expenses for buying some assets. Given all that, I don’t see why he’s so concerned about Obama’s tax plan.
Even if we take this guy at face value, and not some Con stooge, something doesn’t add up in his story.

Why don’t you all see the obvious — OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST!!! McCain should have said so to his face. He almost did, but in the end left it as “wealth redistribution” — I was disappointed.
Obama wants to tax successful people and companies and take that money and give it to those that didn’t earn it — 60% of Obama’s 95% of people who would receive a “tax cut” under his plan, DO NOT PAY ANY TAX ALREADY, so what they would get is not a tax cut, but a HANDOUT!!! –
Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is the CLASSIC definition of socialism. The government steps in and “spreads the wealth” — those were Obama’s own worlds, not a soundbite from a McCain ad…
If you want to sink this country into the ground — VOTE FOR OBAMA!! If he gets his way, combined with the Dem majoroty in Congress, we will be JUST LIKE EUROPE — 15% unemployment, and those that do work have to fork over 60+% to the government so the government can hand it out to the so-called “poor” —
I, for one, work very hard for what I earn and have NO DESIRE to give any more to Uncle Sam so they can help the “less fortunate” — whenever *I* want to help the “less fortunate”, I am perfectly capable of doing it on my own — by donating to the charities that I CHOOSE and that use MY MONEY for things I beleive in.
Let me get this straight…
Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher aka “Joe the Plumber” is:
- Not registered to vote
- A middle-class “plumber” who makes more than 250 k per year
- But not a licensed plumber
- He has cheated on his taxes
- Been divorced twice and possible spousal abuser
- Oh and…he is related to Charles effing Keating!
Too bad Drudge is in the tank for the right or some of this might actually make the news.
Cheers.
Oh dear. Not another GOP misstep. To Grampy and Caribou Barbie: BUH-BYE!!
how come nobody rememers whay joe said IWAS MOWING MY LAWN AND THOUGHT I WHOLD COME OVER AND ASK A QUSETION that would make me beleive that you could find him by lookig for a fresh mown lawn wher he was talking to obama
Oh maxwells, but Joe DIDN’T embarrass Obama. Obama talked openly with him, explained his reasons for his tax plans (which would greatly benefit Joe’s customer base), and said that he would work for the guy once in the White House, even if Joe didn’t vote for him. That doesn’t strike me as embarrassing.
It’s also not very embarrassing because Obama WON’T RAISE JOE’S TAXES. That’s right. Joe the Plumber’s taxes won’t go up under Obama. He is just afraid that Obama will raises taxes on everybody, presumably because he has bought into the right wing extremist views that Obama can’t be trusted and that Obama won’t do what he actually says he will do. It’s Joe’s prerogative to believe what McCain says about Obama, rather than Obama’s stated policies. But I think that tells us a lot more about what Joe wants to believe than it tells us about Obama or his policies.
not good spelling but you get the point
No matter who is Joe, I know not so many of us can make 250,000 even work 24/7. Our gov’t mostly worked for richs or poors in the past, and make middle class to pay for it. If anyone need help in this country, they will be middle class, before they become poor too.

I wouldn’t place much emphasis on whether or not he’s in the phone book. A lot of people like myself don’t have landlines. A lot of people only rely on cellphones. (like myself)
That said…this DOES smell of something the Republic-rats would do at this point. They’re desperate enough to throw anything against the wall to see what sticks!
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence can see though MBlinky’s answers to realize that he REALLY DOESN’T have a clue whats going to fix this country. One obvious example is that he said in the debate that Palin was going to be very involved in fixing the education system because “she knows more about autism than anyone he knows so she understands the needs of special kids”. HUH? Do you really trust YOUR kids education to that woman??!! Think about it…
Finally…I think its ovious to anyone that truly watched the debate & listened to the answers with an open mind that McNasty could barely contain his distaste for Sen.Obama and indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ground down his caps with how hard he grinded his teeth during the debate. He was so angry that Obama wouldn’t take the bait to some of the barbs he threw out. He was obviously trying to goad Obama and got more and more angry when Obama simply rose above it & contidicted him without losing his cool. His snarky behavior, heavy sighs, and eye-rolling revealed a jealous, angry man teetering on the edge of a full blown rage.
NOT that kid of temperment you want associated with a certain 3am call…
But then again, thats just MY opinion.
Make this article famous! Digg it.

Hey, I’m shamelessly in the tank for Obama (ducks rotten fruit…). But I gotta say that, “Does any of this make Joe the Plumber a bad guy? Of course not. In fact, after that ill-fated night at the Watergate, he may finally be giving plumbers a good name” is a brilliant funny. Nicely played, Mr Eisenstadt.
May the better man win on 11/4. Sadly, Sen. McCain’s been put in a position to prove that he wants to win in the worst way possible. We’ve had eight years of “50% + 1.” I don’t think this country can afford to keep traveling down that road.
Hmmm… learn to spell Hussein properly!
Second - I am a doctor and I make less than Joe the plumber. I would not gripe over a small tax increase to help the people less fortunate.
And lastly! I think Joe the plumber cannot be real - he has to be investigated.
Joe the Plumber makes $250,000 a year? Who would hire him? His rates are sky-high!!
(What a stupid ploy, McCain!)
Further: In a non-election year, John McCain only speaks to plumbers through a member of his household staff.

The GOP tried something like this in upstate New York back in the 2004 election. It blew up in their faces back then when it was found out that the guy was a plant at a Kerry rally.
FOX had wall to wall coverage of it when it happened, but did not say a single word when he was found out to be a plant, it was like the interview never happened.
He was at the rally and his daughter was on his shoulders holding a Bush/Cheney placard when someone grab the sign from his daughter and ripped it up and threw it on the ground.
There were pictures everywhere showing the little girl crying over it.
Turned out that the guy who tore up the sign was actually the little girls brother and son of the man holding her. They had done the same thing in the 2000 election too, that is how they got caught.
“the left wing haters”
In other words, people you disagree with. But really, you Republicans are such despicable sludge that it would take saints not to hate you.
It’s over you idiots.
The Long National Nightmare of clueless and selfish Republican rule is over. The conservative era is over. You all have done enough damage.
Done. Over. Dead.

Oh my God! I just had some dental surgery, so I’m not supposed to Laugh Out Loud! Oh, Lord, help me, my laughter is trapped in my tummy! Feels like a massive amount of butterflies. What a HIGH! Thanks “Joe”. This made my day!
Obama 08 ~ Finally a GIFT to America, and the World!
Leaving joe on the side…let’s make a few notes on the LAST debate. I understand that we shouldn’t base personality for your vote BUT
Do i really want to vote for someone who rolls his eyes on a debate? Do i really want someone who mocks at people and loses his cool?(ie: i really love Obama’s eloquence) Is this the type of leader i want? Will he behave like that with other leaders? imagine overseas! I understand frustration is a part of it BUT once you are representing a country we can’t afford a person who is not in control. If he made his behavior public then people lose faith in him…I’ve read that he has a record of having a TEMPER…if you don’t know…research “my friends”! I understand his policy of giving tax breaks to companies BUT let’s be truly honest…do we really trust big corporations now after what just happened? Do i really trust them to provide me with jobs when they can choose to save money not creating them? Will they do the right thing?
you know what…
I’ll just go to the RC and have a massage. I’m already stressed out.
make a contribution for my massage. yes i approve this message.
I KNEW RTHE TRUTH WOULD COME OUT….YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB….I AM ALSO SELF EMPLOYED AND DO NOT HAVE TIME TO HANG OUT AT RALLIES TO QUESTION THE CANDIDATES….I ALSO KNOW THAT PEOPLE WITH BUSINESSES HAVE ACCOUNTANTS TO WHICH THEY CAN ASK QUESTIONS…..I KNOW OF NO PLUMBING BUSINESS WITH A 250000 PROFIT

Re Mario #49: Europe does not have 15% unemployment. The average unemployment rate in the European Union in 2007 was 7.1%, as compared with 4.6% in the United States. A few countries in Europe have lower unemployment than the United States. The rate of unemployment in Norway was 2.4%, presumably due to oil production.
Joe is his middle name. His first name is Sam and he owns a construction company and some sort of investment company in addition to this plumbing company he’s looking to buy.
Poor poor Mario is so greedy with his money. His math is bad too! Doesn’t want the government to give “his” tax dollars to the poor but prefers to have it wasted in other countries, and in wars, and a payment for HALLIBURTON. This country is in economic shambles because of the Palin-Mario dummies who are rooted in fear against intelligence. The Republican party knows this and caters to that part of your brain that reacts in Bi-Cameral responses. Take some time, see where your present taxes are spent, and if you can shift them around and refuse 1/2 of that portion which is wasted (the one you presently approve of) to the owners of those tax dollars then I suggest you move the heck out of the country and move to Alaska cause your not putting COUNTRY FIRST. You are putting WEALTHY PEOPLE FIRST. It’s true what Europe and Latin America is saying AMERICA IF HALF STUPID!
I’m still trying to figure out why a man from Ohio is donating money to Gordon Smith’s campaign in Oregon. What does he have to gain from Smith winning, other than to save another Republican in Senate?
he was a plant and probably isn’t even a plumber. in fact he’s not registered as a plumber within his community or shown to be a licensed plumber. hmmmm….a plant.

I wonder what the relationship between Samuel J. Wurzelbacher and Richard M. Wurzelbacher Jr. (the convicted son-in-law of Charles Keating) precisely is? Brothers? Son? Nephew?
BTW I found that Samuel “Joe” was actually living in Tucson, AZ back in the early 1990’s precisely when RM Jr. was going on trial there. After a nasty divorce (which involved his wife fleeing to a women’s shelter and obtaining medical help, the police involved, etc.) he went to Toledo. So there is a connection geographically as well to RM Jr.
It should be pointed out that both RM Jr. and Sr. were quite wealthy Republican contributors, as were their wives. Both have residential ties to both Ohio and Arizona, and also “Unknown, Alaska”.
Ironically, Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (Joe) IS registered to vote as a Republican…but somehow his name is misspelled as “Worzelbacher”. If the Republicans disqualify recent registrants in Ohio due to “errors” he may, in fact, be ruled ineligible to vote at all.
Joe the unlicensed plumber doesn’t pay his taxes, so what does he care if they are going up or not?
Big big mistake, McGrumpy….
How did McCain know about the conversation with Joe and Osama? Cmon - the Osama campaign cameras were blasting it as a compaign token for Osama… and it backfired on him when he got caught saying he wanted to “spread the wealth around” - which is the ONLY relevant thing about the whole Joe the Plumber example that I find interesting. I don’t care about Joe the Plumber - don’t care who he is or is not related to - I do care about Osama saying he wants to SHARE THE WEALTH AROUND like a SOCIALIST nation!!! And Osama can’t say that Joe the Plumber forced him to say those words - those are OSAMAS words.

Cheers.
The “left wing haters” at DailyKos?
Are we supposed to be happy the McCain campaign pushed a phony on us and lied about it?
I think that was a supreme act of hatred and disrespect directed at the American people.
Mario - Obama a Socialist?!?!
What about our Socialized education system, our Socialized emergency responders and oh, ya - now our Socialized banking system…
It’s the Republicans that want to bankrupt this country and privatize everything - we can see how good that’s been working…
Trickle down my ass - I’ve been trickled ON!!!

Joe used to live in Alaska and has relatives still up there who race in the Iditarod with Todd Palin.
Joe used to live in Arizona in a Keating-owned complex.
Joe is related to one of the conviceted felons from the Keating five debacle.
Joe doesn’t actually make $250,000 or anywhere near it, which was the premise of his original question to Obama.
Joe’s family are big contributors to the Republican party.
Joe’s family owns hundreds of ACRES of land in Ohio.
Don’t you see, Joe is just like you and me. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
How come every loony leftie here cares so much about Joe, his family, occupation, profession, license, tax payments — and does not care a bit about Socialist Obama who wants to re-distribute the wealth? You people are a hoot! Instead of worrying about who will run the country and what kind of country it will be, you care about who is or is not the person who prompted Obama’s Freudian slip!
Now, this is priceless. I did not think that every democretin was a socialist, but it’s getting pretty obvious here, just reading your comments.
*** Update 2: There’s another Wurzelbacher. Doug Wurzelbacher. Doug is active in competitive dog sled racing. Guess where he lives? Wasilla, Alaska. What are the odds? I wonder if he’s related to “Plumber Joe”?

Joe has lived in Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona (on Keating Avenue no less) He seems to have no plan or credit to purchase the 2 person business, but he seems to know a lot about candidates tax plans.
The last chapter of the Natural Law Party was ultimately taken over by the Reform Party under Pat Buchanan. The RP USA Action Group Faction endorsed McCain 08. Looking at RP races and candidates now, so far most coverage was devoted to The Reform Party also ran Eric Eidness, for Colorado congressional seat, former Regan Admin Officer (EPA), former Navy officer Vietnam 1968, characterized in press releases as a “maverick” - turned Dem, ran Reform and siphoned 11% of the vote - the Republican who received 1.8million from RNCC for the race, won.

You know what? LEAVE THAT GUY ALONE! Joe the Plumber is not running for anything, so you need to stop delving into his life. That is very unfair. And even if he “is” a plant . . . Obama answered his question and it was great, it really allowed a person to understand what his tax policy is. That’s all . . . that’s enough. Case closed. Move on!
And I’m an Obama supporter.
almost too funny to true! Joe is not even a plumber and at 40k, is in no danger of having his taxes increased. Next the right wing will trot out kids flipping burgers at McDonald’s and say they will be hurt by Obama’s tax plan because they could someday become CEO! […] A conservative blogger blows the lid off of the link between Joe The Plumber and the Keating Five Scandal. It turns out that this guy who was the centerpiece of the McCain strategy in the 3rd debate is […]
Let me get this straight: Joe is an unspecified “close relative” — brother? nephew? sugardaddy? what? — of Charles Keating’s son-in-law.
I’ll attempt to connect this:
1. Joe The Plumber
(1a. almost certainly some semi-connector that gets you to)
2. Robert Wurzelbacher
3. Mrs. Robert Wurzelbacher
4. Charles Keating
When you’re six steps from everyone in the world, being four (probably five) from someone who does not matter because McCain was exonerated from wrongdoing in that matter anyway is somewhat meaningless.
Thanks, pal. For being an insider to McCain’s campaign, you sure did a good job deflecting the best thing that happened to it since Obama’s ill-fated lipstick joke.
If you’ll notice, you’re the toast of the left now for trotting out this painfully weak crap. Hope the fame was worth it.
OK, I think we are confusing Wurzelbachers here. I wondered if Joe the plumber was a SW Ohio Wurzelbacher, because I knew them about 20-30 years ago. Judging from the interviews, this Joe (apparently really Samuel Joseph) is not one of them, I saw a quote where he talked about being from a small family. The Wurzelbachers I knew, the father was Joe (who would be quite old if still alive, I am not in touch with them) and they were an extremly large family. I don’t know whether he had a “Joe” son or not. But the Joe Wurzelbacher on Stone Mill Rd. in Cincinnati is NOT Joe the plumber, but is almost certainly the elder Joe I knew and may or may not be related, but but Plumber Joe is almost certainly not a son of the elder Joe of Cincinnati. I can’t speak for the Milford Wurzelbacher, but he may not be related to either Joe. I feel sorry for Joe of Cincinnati and his clan, their phones must be ringing off the hook whether or not they are related. As a side note, Keating was an anti-porn crusader in Cincinnati before he became a scam artist in Arizona (I guess he switched from “don’t look at those pictures” to “don’t read the contract fine print”), and his brother William was in Congress awhile back.
[…] CONFIRMED […]

1. Joe the wife beater
2. Joe the tax cheat
3. Joe the Keating Five relative.

did you prove this yet or not?
Fact - the vast majority of small business owners in the United States make less than $250,000 per year. I own a small business and would be delighted to make over $250,000 per year, so I could do my patriotic duty and pay more taxes.
The Toledo Blade reports that Joe the Plumber is not a licensed plumber and there is no record of him completing or even attending any plumbing apprenticeship program. The company he works for and says he wants to buy, AW Newell Inc, appears to be a home-based business. A small business website reports that it is estimated to have two employees and total revenue of $100,000 per year. Divorce court records report that Joe’s income in 2006 was $40,000. Joe favors the flat tax and is opposed in principle to Social Security. Unless the Republicans shower money on Joe as a publicity stunt, his chances of making over $250,000 per year any time soon appear to be essentially zero. It seems that Joe the Plumber has a big problem telling the truth about his own business prospects. He would rather attack Obama’s economic and tax plans, which would actually benefit him and people like him across America.
