Famous Pundit Martin Eisenstadt Inks Book Deal

Inside Source of “Game-Changing” Palin/Africa Story Debunks Accusations He’s “A Fraud” in Scorched-Earth Presidential Campaign Tell-All

I AM MARTIN EISENSTADT: One Man’s Barely Legal Adventures with the Last Republicans       Set for May 2009 Publication

Faber and Faber, Inc., an affiliate of Farrar, Straus and Giroux, will publish a presidential campaign tell-all book written by the famed political pundit, strategist, and campaign consultant Martin Eisenstadt. Eisenstadt, a senior fellow at the Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy in Washington, D.C., rose to international prominence just after the election as the admitted source of the leak that Sarah Palin “didn’t know Africa was a continent.” This game-changing newsbreak leaked from behind the scenes after a debate-coaching session for Palin was picked up by FOX News, MSNBC, The Huffington Post, and other major media. During the campaign, Eisenstadt was called on and quoted as a McCain adviser by CBS News, Los Angeles Times, The New Republic, and other media in stories relating to Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, and Paris Hilton.

“I’m delighted to have an opportunity to put to rest the disinformation put out by The New York Times that the Palin/Africa claims are a hoax and that I myself am the creation of two opportunistic filmmakers, Eitan Gorlin and Dan Mirvish,” said Eisenstadt. “Even CNN’s ‘Reliable Sources’ perpetuated this ridiculous canard. The story has been picked up around the world. It’s time to clear my name and set the record straight.”

Mitzi Angel, publisher of Faber and Faber, Inc., tracked down Eisenstadt and signed up the book. Richard Abate at the Endeavor Agency represented the author.  I AM MARTIN EISENSTADT: One Man’s Barely Legal Adventures with the Last Republicans will be published as a trade paperback original in May 2009.

And for those of you who still don’t believe I exist, I am posting (with my assistant Danny’s help) excerpts from “The Last Republican”, a BBC documentary about the waning days of the McCain campaign. As my words were often misconstrued in the documentary, I am also posting excerpts from my rebuttal.
